I particularly enjoyed reading about automation and job loss - and how UBI (Universal Basic Income) can remedy the fallout. I also found the topic of Black Box societies important - how long has it been since we found ourselves in an opaque system of corporations?

I hope you enjoyed delving into this 1944 issue of Picturegoer with me. With discussion about taking on too many roles in one production, like Noel Coward, to faking an accent for a role, just like Laurence Olivier in Demi Paradise. It was also fascinating to see wartime adverts in this issue, particularity from brands which we still see selling today.
