Review | Bourjois, Chanel, Collection Concealers

I have three concealers currently, and I thought I would write a review and comparison post on them for you!

This concealer is designed to be hydrating and radiant! It comes in three shades. I chose the lightest. It has yellow undertones, and it's scented heavily of apricots.

Chanel ÉCLAT LUMIÈRE Highlighter Face Pen in Beige Moyen £27

Shades: Beige Clair, Beige Rose, Beige Moyen

Rather than being designed as a covering concealer, this is a highlighting concealer, so I will give this product some lenience! While shopping, the MUA at Chanel gave me a full face of makeup, and I loved how this salmon colour looked on my skin. It's the darkest shade.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light £4.19

Shades: Light, Fair, Medium, Dark

I think I've bought maybe 4 or 5 tubes of this concealer- it's definitely an old favourite. It has four shades, and I chose the lightest. It has an applicator wand, and recently has changed packaging. When I repurchase again, I hope that the black text won't run off so easily!

I did a coverage test, as that's what I care about the most for my concealers. I tried out how well they cover a black dot of eyeliner. I used the same amount of concealer for each test, so you can also see how far a small dot can stretch! There is one layer on each. I blended by patting with my finger.

At the top we can see the Bourjois concealer. It really doesn't have great coverage, and is very yellow toned. The formula is hydrating, but it doesn't stretch very far.

In the middle is the Chanel Highlighting concealer. We can see it both stretches very far, and has slightly better coverage! It's a really liquid formula, so you only need to use a really small amount.

And finally is the Collection concealer. Hopefully you can see why it's my favourite- the coverage is exceptional! The shade is fairly even- not very pink or not very yellow. The formula is quite concentrated.

I would rank these concealers as

#1 Collection

#2 Chanel

#3 Bourjois

For the price, formula, and colour range, Collection is my favourite. Chanel is so expensive in comparison to both, and doesn't have much coverage at all, however as a highlighter on top of concealer, it looks lovely. Finally, Bourjois comes in at last because of the small colour range and poor coverage.

I bought all of these products with my own money, and I am not affiliated with these brands
